Coat:
The Afghan Hound has a thick and silky coat with a very fine texture on the ribs and on the legs. There are many requirements for the coat, one of the most important is that it should never be trimmed, and should remain natural.

The Afghan Hound makes a wonderful companion and can be considered very loyal to his owner. However, this dog is quite reserved around strangers. Socialization is a must for this breed.
